You are fortunately making it possible to send text messages to phone if you are a Mac user.
MAC TEXT MESSAGES DRAG TO DESKTOP PC
Hope this helps someone else - can't believe it's not explained better on Apple's support pages. In this article, we will show you several ways to help you text or send text messages(SMS) from PC or Mac to cell phone.

You'll have to be sure that the previous default account is added to Max OS Contacts.app and can try dragging and dropping to iCloud, but mine was set to an Exchange account which is supposed to be synced with my Macbook, and those contacts aren't showing up new contacts added to iCloud do. It will just eliminate the problem, moving forward. This won't fix previously added contacts. Now, when you add a new contact, it will be added to your iCloud contacts by default, and so will sync properly. And if your clients ever need your attention, they can do the same.
MAC TEXT MESSAGES DRAG TO DESKTOP UPGRADE
So those mandatory upgrade announcements will always be seen. Click "Default Account" and set it to "iCloud" (if it was already set to iCloud, then you are having syncing issues). Apple Remote Desktop also lets you send text messages to an individual or to all your clients. On your iOs device, go to preferences > Contacts (when I search "contacts" in preferences, it gave me three options, take the one that has the same icon as the Contacts.app not* iCloud, **not privacy).Even if you view a particular contact card, it won't tell you the group it's in. Even if you did notice the "Groups" button, nothing inside iOs Contacts.app tells you that there is a default account.

If you're like me, you might not have realized that the iOs Contacts even distinguished between different groups. If you've got iCloud sharing set up & are confident that it's not a login/logout issue etc then it is probably that your phone / iPad is adding new contacts to an account that is not your iCloud account. A brief explanation, solution is below the separating line. This is not an iCloud syncing issue, it's an issue related to the default account used for Contacts on your phone / iPad.Īfter searching for a long time, I finally figured out the missing info - I wasn't able to find this anywhere else, so am posting here.
